How It Began

Where has the purity gone?

Our journey began with a simple question. We realized that the traditional, cold-pressed mustard oil (तोरिको तेल) that nourished our ancestors was being replaced by odorless, nutrient-stripped alternatives.

We missed the pungent aroma of true Nepali mustard, the earthy richness of Kodo millet, and the honest goodness of hand-ground flours.

Nepal Harvest was born to bring back that honest, unadulterated flavor and to ensure that the farmers who have kept these traditions alive are fairly valued for their work.

The Raithane Approach

We work closely with local farmers, focusing on Raithane (indigenous) varieties. Our Raithane Mustard Oil is sourced exclusively from farmers who have cultivated these heritage seeds for generations.

Cold-Pressed Perfection

Our oils — Mustard, Hempseed (भाङ्गो), Flaxseed (आलस), and Sesame (तिल) are processed using traditional, slow-pressing methods. We never use high heat or chemicals.

Clean & Careful Processing

Our grains and flours — Buckwheat, Millet, Wheat, Maize are meticulously cleaned, roasted, and stone-milled to preserve every bit of their nutritional value.

    Sourced from Nepali Farmers

    Every ingredient begins with a Nepali farmer. Our mustard seeds are Raithane indigenous varieties. Our grains — buckwheat, kodo, wheat, maize come from hill farms. Our turmeric from highland cultivators. We know where every seed comes from.

    Grown the Traditional Way

    No synthetic fertilizers. No pesticides. Our farmers use traditional practices natural manure, crop rotation, and the agricultural wisdom passed down through generations in Nepal's fertile valleys and highlands.

    Harvested at Peak Quality

    Oils are pressed from seeds harvested at peak ripeness. Grains are harvested when fully mature. Spices are collected at maximum potency. Timing is everything and our farmers know exactly when the moment is right.

    Cold-Pressed or Stone-Ground

    Our oils are cold-pressed at low temperatures never heated, never chemically extracted. Our flours are stone-ground on traditional mills. Our spices are ground clean and pure. Every method is chosen to preserve maximum nutrition and authentic flavour.

    Checked for Purity

    Every batch of oil, flour, and spice is checked for colour, aroma, texture, and purity before it leaves our facility. No artificial colour. No added preservatives. No adulteration. If it doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't leave.
